Hello,
I'd like to disable sending new added files to the repository as an attachement on the notification email. However, I'd like to keep the notification email to the concerned users to go and download the file.

Good day,
This can be disabled at the individual user level.
Check Attached file.
In the business edition you can set a maximum size of attachment.
